Program Overview
This course covers the essential skills needed for writing paragraphs, emails, essays, reports and letters. Students are grouped according to their writing level. Spelling, grammar, sentence structure, word order, vocabulary, punctuation and different writing styles are all included.

Entrance
Requirements:

 

  • Have proven English proficiency of at least a Canadian Language Benchmark of 4.

Before registering for a course, students will need to provide proof of English proficiency. This can be done by providing a valid IELTS, TOEFL, CLBPT or CELPIP score or by taking LCC’s online English assessment.

Learning Outcomes

  • Develop skills for writing paragraphs, essays, academic/business reports, emails, letters and creative writing (topics vary in each 6 week section)

  • Improve spelling, grammar, sentence structure, word order and punctuation
