Program Overview

This course is designed for students to improve their conversation and verbal skills, functional language and vocabulary and idioms. The program is available, online and in-person, for beginner to advanced levels.

Teachers provide a friendly environment and use current issues, topical subjects and popular culture to create an inclusive atmosphere for energetic, thought-provoking and enjoyable communication through brainstorming, pair work, group work, group discussions, debate and roleplay.

Entrance Requirements

Have proven English proficiency of at least a Canadian Language Benchmark of 2+.

Before registering for a course, students will need to provide proof of English proficiency. This can be done by providing a valid IELTS, TOEFL, CLBPT or CELPIP score or by taking LCC’s online English assessment. 

  • Must be at least 17 years old to enroll in an ESL program
