Do I need to take this test?

Free Online English Assessment

  • If you already have an official IELTS, TOEFL, CELPIP or CLBPT test result, you may not need another test.
  • CLBPT scores are good for 1 year. Check the date of your last test.
  • TOEFL, CELPIP and IELTS scores are good for 2 years.
  • If your test result hasn’t expired yet, you don’t need to take another test. Before you apply, please send a copy of your test result(s) to info@lcc.issbc.org with your name and the program you want. Assessments that have expired will not be accepted.
  • If you don’t have an official English language assessment or it has expired, and you want to apply for an LCC program or course, you can take our free online English assessment to use as proof of English proficiency for your application.

How do I take this test?

  • Create a user account.
    This user account can only be used once for one test. The assessment takes approximately 1 hour to complete.
  • Your assessment results will be sent to the email address you provide during your account setup.

If you live in Vancouver and can’t complete the online assessment, you can take the assessment at our registration office.  Please make an appointment to come for your test.
