Diploma Overview
The Leadership Preparation Diploma (LDP) Program with co-op is designed to introduce concepts and develop skills needed to be a future leader. LPD enables students to develop strong decision-making and organizational skills, to clarify goals and to lead a team. Students are required to do independent activities, graded assignments and/or exams for each course; each student will work on individual as well as group projects.

Leadership Preparation Diploma with Co-op 

Study Term

During their study term, students complete the required coursework for their Leadership Preparation Diploma program. In addition, students complete elective coursework which will help them improve their English language skills and competencies.

Work Term

During their work term, students are encouraged to work in a job related to their Leadership Preparation Diploma program. To assist students in their job hunting, LCC offers free job support services to help our co-op students find work.

Career options for graduates include jobs in which they need to lead teams or supervise
others. Examples of occupational codes that are relevant for this course are:

• 0421 Administrators - post-secondary education & vocational training
• 6316 Other service supervisors

• 6314 Customer and information services supervisors

48 Week
Career Co-op Program

24 weeks of classroom instruction and 24 weeks of Canadian work experience.

Class start time: 09:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Choose one of the following elective programs and one time slot
Test Preparation:
Class start time:  1:00 PM - 3:00 PM or 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Program Tuition Fees:
$4,710 – $5,940*

64 Week
Career Co-op Program

32 weeks of classroom instruction and 32  weeks of Canadian work experience.

 

 

Program start date: any Monday!
Depending on class seat availability, students may be asked to start their course or program at a later date.

Begin your co-op program with the Business Diploma Program (8 weeks).

Leadership Preparation Diploma (24 weeks)
Class start time: 09:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Test Preparation:
Class start time: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM or 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

$6,325 – $6,480*

Co-op
Entrance Requirements

Before registering for a program you will need to provide proof of English Proficiency. This can be done by providing a valid IELTS, TOEFL, CLBPT or CELPIP score or by taking LCC’s free online English assessment. 

 

  • Have proven English proficiency of at least a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 5 or higher in at least two skills (no skill lower than 4), OR successful completion of the Business Diploma Program (BDP).

Students with higher CLB levels but no Canadian work experience or resume are also encouraged to take BDP. Students with English levels below CLB 4 must enroll in language courses (not part of this diploma program) and provide evidence of sufficient English levels before beginning the diploma program(s).

By the start of the co-op work component, students must:
-Have successfully completed the co-op study component.
-Have a Canadian Study Permit and Co-op Work Permit
-Have a Canadian Social Insurance Number (SIN).
-Have valid medical insurance coverage.

Receive your letter of acceptance and apply for your co-op study and work permits!
